Last month the Murrietta City Council adopted a resolution to develop a 7.8-acre mixed-use residential and commercial project at the Southeast corner of Date Street and Delhaven Street.

The project called Promontory Point Apartments will provide 234 multi-family residential units of one, two, and three bedrooms. The project will receive a density bonus in exchange for providing 12 affordable housing units.

MHS 98, LLC plans to build a total of eight buildings, two of which will be four stories in height and six of which will be three stories in height. Open space and recreational amenities and 381 parking spaces will be included.

The ordinance to approve the project consists of a zoning change from single-family to multi-family, a general plan amendment, a density bonus and a development plan.
