The proposed Hollywood & Wilcox development by the LeFrak Organization took a major step forward with the release of the final Environmental Impact Report (EIR).

The project, located at the southeast corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue, would be comprised of 260 multi-family residential dwelling units, with up to 26 units set aside for workforce housing, 17,800 square feet (SF) of commercial uses, 11,020 SF of retail uses, 3,580 SF of office, and 3,200 SF of restaurant uses.

The existing two-story, 9,000-square-foot historic Attie Building located on the project site would be rehabilitated and restored.

The building, designed by GMPA Architects, will have tiered roof levels that range in height from one to 15 stories. In its completed state the project will have approximately 33,750 SF of open space including 6,745 SF of common planted open space. 420 parking spaces would be provided within two subterranean, one at-grade level, and two above-grade levels.

According to the EIR, the project will have significant and unavoidable impacts related to construction noise and construction vibration. The Governor’s Office certified the project as an Environmental Leadership Development Project under Assembly Bill 900 on October 10, 2019.
