Earlier this month, the Menifee City Council approved the construction and operation of a 54-acre mixed-use development called the Junction.

The Junction, developed by PacTen Partners, would feature 268,824 square feet of retail commercial buildings, a 5-story hotel and a 304-unit senior assisted living, independent living and memory care facility.

The project site is located at the northwest corner of Scott Road and Haun Road in the southern part of the City. The site consists of disked agricultural land and is currently occupied by several deteriorating structures that are no longer in use.

The architectural style proposed by MCG Architecture will be rural agrarian incorporating contemporary elements, as required under the Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The blend of roof forms, window types, colors and materials will be reminiscent of a rural, farm-like style. The development will contain outdoor plazas, walkways, and courtyards to facilitate informal gathering and indoor/outdoor dining.

Irwin Partners Architects will be designing the 304-unit senior assisted living, independent living and memory care facility.

The Junction is part of a 2,231-acre Economic Development Corridor in the City which is zoned for a mix of uses between residential, commercial, retail and business park uses.
