Architects Orange will be designing the project’s apartment complex and commercial center, while DesignCell Architecture will be responsible for the hotel portion. The project will have a contemporary architectural style consistent with the surrounding area’s aesthetic.

The hotel and apartment complex will include outdoor amenities such as a pool, sports court, and recreational facilities. The project will also include outdoor amenities available to the public including the dog park, plazas, and meandering pathways.

The site was previously owned by Cypress’ redevelopment agency, which intended to exchange the parcel to a private developer for commercial development before the Great Recession scuttled the deal. Since then, the parcel has been the subject of redevelopment dissolution litigation and repeated unsuccessful sales for commercial development.

According to the developer’s project timeline, construction is expected to start Fall 2021.
