Assisted Living & Memory Care Facility Planned in Manhattan Beach
Earlier this week, the City of Manhattan Beach released a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for a 26,754 square-foot (SF) assisted living and memory care facility to be located at 250-400 North Sepulveda Boulevard.
The Sunrise Assisted Living Facility proposed by Sunrise Senior Living would consist of a total of 95 rooms and 115 beds, 64 assisted living rooms, and 31 memory care rooms for Alzheimer’s patients and individuals with memory loss. The building would also contain a facility kitchen, common areas including a foyer, a parlor, a bistro, a private dining room, general dining rooms, an activity room, and a staff room. The building would be two to three stories above existing grade, and a partially subterranean parking garage with 61 parking spaces. In total the building would have a total of 79,772 SF of floor area.
The Project would involve the demolition of the three existing commercial buildings, three existing driveways on North Sepulveda Boulevard, one existing driveway on 5th Street, and the existing paved parking lot on the project site.
HPI Architecture is designing the project.
