This week, the Oceanside City Council will decide the fate of a proposed 146-unit apartment project located at the southern terminus of Ditmar and Nevada streets, just south of Oceanside Boulevard and immediately north of the North County Transit District Sprinter rail line.

The proposed project by GK Asset Management consists of a new six-story 146-unit apartment building, of which 15 units are proposed to be affordable. The main level of the building would include a parking structure, leasing office and amenity areas. Parking for the project would be provided by a three-level parking garage with surface level and two below-grade levels totaling 259 parking spaces.

The applicant is utilizing the State Density Bonus Law to exceed the maximum potential density of 97 units by 50% for a total of 146 units.

A previous entitlement on the project site was approved by the Planning Commission and City Council back in 2019.

Designed by Bob Abrahams Architect, the project will have a contemporary coastal style featuring clean lines and simple forms.
