The Vista Planning Commission is expected to consider a proposal tomorrow to develop a 121-room, four-story hotel project located at 760 Shadowridge Drive.

The applicant, Comstock Realty Partners, plans to develop a Courtyard by Marriott Hotel with associated environmental and infrastructural changes including parking, drainage improvements, landscaping, driveways and more.

The site would also include a range of amenities such as a 3,275 square foot exterior patio, a 3,850 square foot pool area along the east-facing portion of the building and a fitness center.

Designed by John G. Cataldo, the hotel will feature a contemporary architectural style with building materials that include stucco facades with hardwood siding and fiber panel accents, aluminum windows and metal trims.

The proposal includes a special use permit to build a 49-foot and 6 inches tall building, which is above the current 45-foot area limit and a Minor Use Permit for the sale of beer and wine on the premises.
