Another Mixed-Use Project Approved In Oceanside

The Oceanside Community Development Commission recently approved The Sunsets, a new six-story mixed-use project located near Downtown Oceanside. 

The applicant Sunsets LP plans to develop a free-standing building with 76 residential units and 1,580 square feet of ground-floor commercial space on a 0.47-acre parcel. 

The project will provide 5 one-bedroom units and 71 two-bedroom units, all of which will be market rate.

The Sunsets will be located in a newly approved and expanded Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area of the Downtown core. 

The project’s architectural design will be progressive modern and will contain a courtyard, rooftop deck and outdoor pedestrian plaza. The project would make extensive use of solar panels on its vertical panel and roof, which would service the entire energy needs of the building.
