Last month, the Palm Springs City Council reviewed and approved the final development plans for the construction of 80 single-family residential units in the Canyon View Courts subdivision.

The applicant, Encore Capital Management, will construct the homes in five different floor plans with three different elevations. The 80 units are all two-story structures and range between 2,122 square feet to 2,761 square feet in size. Each of the homes will consist of three to four bedrooms, with four bathrooms, a living area, dining area, a kitchen, a porch or casita, and an attached two-car garage. The homes are designed with a small pool (spool) or a plunge pool in the rear yard or front courtyard areas.

Designed by KTGY Architecture, the primary exterior wall material for the residences will be stucco, with stone veneer, masonry block, or tile as accent materials. The roof options include either a flat roof or low-pitched shed roofs.

The Canyon View project was originally approved by the City Council on July 19, 2017, but pursuant to Palm Springs Zoning Code Section 94.03.00(C)(7), a project approved as a Planned Development District requires that the Planning Commission approve the Final Development Plan prior to the issuance of building permits for the development.
