Later this week, the Los Angeles Planning Commission will consider a proposal to develop a 149-room, four-story hotel on a 53,433 square-foot lot located at 20401 West Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills.

Project applicant – 20401 Ventura, LLC, an entity linked to Kamyar Marouni, is requesting a Specific Plan Amendment, a Vesting Zone Change, Site Plan Review, and Conditional Use Permits to replace the parking lot and build the 4-story hotel. Amenities would include a restaurant and guest lounge located on the ground floor, and a pool and fitness room located on the second floor.

The project would also include three levels of subterranean parking, and an additional 213 vehicle parking spaces and 52 bicycle parking spaces on a 52,529 square foot lot.

Architectural Dimensions is designing the hotel, which will feature a modern low-rise building overlooking the US-101 Freeway.

City staff found that with mitigation measures, the project would not have significant environmental impacts, and recommends the approval of the project.
